Safety Audits & Loss Control Site Inspections

DTI conducts safety compliance assessments for corporate facilities and construction sites. This assessment provides for several investigative efforts including workers compensation document analysis, on-site physical inspection, personal interviews with staff and compliance document review.

Construction Project Safety Managment

DTI provides project safety managers who enhance, rather than hinder, the productivity of field activities. Project specific service agreements eliminate the burden of staff overhead costs after project completion.

DTI can develop a distinct safety compliance program or a corporate health and safety manual to address the specific regulatory compliance and corporate liability issues appropriate for your company. Safety Training

DTI provides employee safety training on many different regulatory and compliance topics. We have a professionally trained staff that can provide your company with the necessary up-to-date training courses, documentation and knowledge to understand and maintain compliance.

Training sessions can be conveniently scheduled without interference with normal work schedules. Training courses are available at our Safety Training Center or can be tailored to fit your schedule. Customized instruction plans can be developed for each topic, which will include construction or general industry application of safety principles and practices. Topic specific printed materials such as workbooks, handouts, etc., are provided for each course, as well as, extensive use of visual aids and practical demonstrations.

Background Screening has become increasingly more prevalent in our current employment environment. DTI background screening searches are accurate, dependable, up-to-date and a cost effective way to immediately place a worker on a job-site, whether the job-site is an elementary school or a nuclear power plant.

Background Screening Service Advantages

DTI offers world-class technology solutions that are flexible and can be customized to meet the needs of each client.

All screens are in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

Results are returned as a fresh criminal record, not a database search.

Instant notification on potential “hits.”

All hits are re-verified “in-person” at the county level to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Turnaround time is immediate for “clear” results and typically 24 – 72 hours for “hits.”

The DTI on-line order processing and results delivery system offers the following background screening searches to help ensure that our clients are making the right hiring decisions:

Background Screening

County Criminal History Search – all counties in the United States keep records on all aspects of trials and their dispositions. A county courthouse is the best source for the most recent information on a case, which is why DTI conducts county court searches “in-person.” Depending on the county, the search may include felony, misdemeanor or both types of convictions. This search is available for all 3,145 counties nationwide.

DTI Ver!Screen Search (Exclusively offered by DTI) – Ver!Screen is a national criminal search with instantaneous results on individuals with “clear” records. All reported incidents (“hits”) are verified with a fresh (in-person) county criminal record search. A Ver!Screen Search can uncover criminal history and other information in multiple states or jurisdictions where the applicant has had no previous residence history. This screen searches in excess of 226 million criminal records from numerous sources, including:

* State and County criminal record repositories
* States’ Administrative Offices of Courts
* States’ Department of Corrections
* DTI propriety record information – collected from prior searches in all 50 states
* Federal Wanted Persons Search
* Terrorist Watch List
* Sex Offender Registries
* Other state agencies

DTI Identity Verification Check (exclusively offered by DTI) – using this unique approach, we offer the most comprehensive Identity Verification Check search regimen available. This search includes a Social Security Number Check, Sex Offender Search, Federal Wanted Persons List Search and a Terrorist Watch List Search.

County Civil History Search – search of civil records stored at the upper and lower county courthouses.

State Criminal History Search – many states store county information in a statewide criminal file repository or offer statewide searches. DTI provides statewide criminal records from more than three-quarters of the states in United States. If an applicant has moved often, this can be an inexpensive way to check multiple county jurisdictions within a single state.

Federal Criminal History Search – search of criminal records stored at the Federal level.

Federal Civil History Search – search of civil records stored at the Federal level.

Federal Wanted Persons Search – searches wanted persons file at the Federal level.

Sex Offender Search – statewide sex offender registry searches are available in two-thirds of the states in United States. In the states that do not offer statewide registries, DTI can conduct county criminal checks to uncover an applicants’ criminal histories.

Motor Vehicle Record – DTI driving records search identifies the status of an individual driver’s license validity, violations and suspensions for three to seven years. It will reveal the dates and description of:

* Violations
* Suspensions
* Revocations
* License validity

Employment Verification – direct communication with previous employers to determine:

* Past places of employment
* Dates of employment
* Positions/job titles
* Detailed employment information, such as performance ratings, departure information and eligibility for rehire.

Education Verification/Degree – confirms the accuracy of an applicant’s information including institutions attended, dates of attendance and degree(s)earned.

Reference Verification – the following direct communication questions are asked for this screen:

* How long they have known the applicant?
* Have they worked with the applicant?
* Have they ever observed them on the job?
* Have they observed them during volunteer work?
* What is their greatest strength?
* What is their greatest weakness?

Professional License Verification – verifies the validity of the candidate’s professional license(s) and/or certification(s).

Military Service Verification – includes verification of the military branch, dates served and type of discharge.

This division provides services for all aspects of your drug testing program, including pre-employment, random, post-accident and reasonable cause collections. We offer computer-generated random selections, confidential chain of custody protocols, interpretation of positive results by a Medical Review Officer (MRO), and online reporting and data analysis.

DTI offers NIDA approved laboratory testing, hair testing and a variety of instantaneous testing.

Our program services are tailored to fit your needs with drug testing collections available on the job site or at your office. DTI administers several construction industry consortium, project and company programs to meet the variety of owners’, contractors’ and laborers’ requirements.

DTI is the leader in the utilization of NIDA laboratory approved collection trailers on the job site. On-site collection trailers have proven to be a convenient and cost effective tool in the reduction of labor costs associated with drug testing.

In addition to on-site collections, contractors can select from over 15,000 clinical collection sites nationwide to have their workers tested.

DTI developed a confidential Internet database known as SATIS (Substance Abuse Testing Information System) to serve owners, labor and management allowing for the storage and real time delivery of sensitive employee records over a secure Internet site. SATIS allows contractors to share confidential drug testing results, thus eliminating the expense associated with unnecessary duplication of worker drug testing.

Drug Testing Consortium Programs

The objective of a consortium is to provide contractors and project owners with a uniform, consistently administered substance abuse testing program. This type of program will provide objective, fair, and manageable procedures for drug screening of employees utilizing SATIS, a central depository of worker drug testing records, in order to expedite their employment.
